Compact Tractor Rental in Halifax County, VA

A Kubota L-Series compact tractor is the most useful machine you can put on a property — front loader up front for hauling and grading, a 3-point hitch and 540 PTO out back to run a brush hog, box blade, or auger. 35–45 HP, true 4WD, easy to drive. Daily, weekly, or monthly, delivered anywhere in Southside Virginia.

[ 01 ] · What You're Renting

One Machine, Ten Jobs.

If you only rent one machine for a property, make it a compact tractor. The Kubota L-Series does the chores a pickup and a wheelbarrow can't — mow a field with a brush hog, smooth a washed-out driveway with a box blade, set fence posts with an auger, then scoop gravel and haul it across the yard with the loader, all in the same afternoon. A compact tractor rental turns a weekend of hand labor into a few hours in the seat.

It's built around three connection points: the front loader for lifting and grading, the Category I 3-point hitch for mounted implements, and the 540 PTO for anything that spins. That's what makes one tractor cover so much ground. And because it's hydrostatic — no clutch, no shifting — it's the friendliest machine on our lot for first-timers.

Every unit is a late-model Kubota, serviced between rentals, and it leaves fueled and greased with the loader on. Not sure which implement you need? Check the implements guide below or just call the yard and tell us what the job is.

[ 03 ] · What Folks Rent It For

Built for the Whole Property

USE · 01

Mowing & Brush Hogging

Knock down a season's worth of pasture, fence lines, and overgrown lots. A 5–6 ft brush hog on the PTO cuts saplings and heavy grass that a finish mower would choke on.

USE · 02

Box-Blade Grading & Driveways

Pull a washboarded gravel driveway smooth, fill ruts, and re-crown it for drainage. Scarifier teeth break up packed clay first, then the blade levels it.

USE · 03

Front-Loader Work & Hauling

Scoop gravel, mulch, dirt, and brush, then carry it where you need it. The loader bucket loads a trailer or moves a pallet without ever touching a shovel.

USE · 04

Post-Hole Auger & Fencing

Drill clean, consistent post holes for field fence, gates, and pole barns. The PTO auger sinks a 9–12 inch hole in seconds versus an hour with a hand digger.

USE · 05

Food Plots & Land Management

Disc, drag, and seed food plots, then keep trails and shooting lanes mowed. The 4WD pulls ground-engaging implements through wet bottoms and red clay.

USE · 06

General Property Maintenance

Spread gravel, move firewood, clear storm debris, level a pad for a shed. The everyday machine for anyone with a few acres and a long to-do list.

[ 04 ] · What Can You Run Off It?

One Tractor, Six Implements

There's one tractor class, but it's a tool carrier. Every implement below runs off the loader, the Category I 3-point hitch, or the 540 PTO — all standard, all 4WD, all hydrostatic. Tell us the job and we'll have it mounted.

PTO · 540

Brush Hog

5–6 ft rotary cutter for reclaiming pasture, fence lines, and overgrown lots. Pairs with the 540 PTO; the 4WD pulls it up slopes without spinning.

3-POINT · CAT I

Box Blade

Grade driveways, fill ruts, and crown for drainage. Scarifier shanks rip packed clay; the blade then levels and spreads. The go-to for gravel-road repair.

LOADER · QUICK-ATTACH

Pallet Forks

Swap the bucket for forks to move block, bagged material, hay, and pallets straight off a delivery truck. Quick-attach makes the change a two-minute job.

LOADER · STANDARD

Front Bucket

The default — scoop, carry, and dump gravel, mulch, dirt, and debris. Comes on the tractor every time. Hydrostatic drive makes loader cycles smooth and easy.

PTO · 540

Post-Hole Auger

9, 12, or larger bits for fence posts, deck footings, and sign poles. The PTO does the work — clean holes in seconds, even in our hard Southside clay.

LOADER · HYDRAULIC

Grapple

Grab and stack brush, limbs, and storm debris the bucket can't hold. Runs off the loader's hydraulics. Ask when you reserve so we fit the right couplers.

Round Out the Job

Tractor
Questions.

Straight answers on implements, lifting, 4WD, and who it's right for.

The tractor leaves the yard with the front loader and bucket already on it. From there it runs a Category I 3-point hitch and a 540-RPM PTO, so we can fit a 5- or 6-foot brush hog, a box blade, pallet forks, a post-hole auger, or a root grapple. Tell us the job when you reserve and we'll have the right implement mounted and ready.
The L-Series loader handles roughly 1,800 to 2,500 pounds at the pins depending on configuration — plenty for gravel, mulch, dirt, brush piles, and a pallet of block or bagged material. It is not a track loader, so for full skid-steer breakout force and heavy attachment work, step up to the SVL97-2 track loader instead.
No. A compact tractor is one of the easiest machines on the yard to learn. The hydrostatic transmission means there is no clutch and no shifting — push the pedal forward to go, back to reverse. We walk you through the loader, PTO, and 3-point controls before you leave, and the mobile line stays open if you get stuck.
Yes. Every tractor is true 4WD, which is what you want on Southside's red-clay slopes, soft pasture, and wet spring ground. Run the rear ag tires aired down a touch and keep the loader low when you climb. For steep banks we'll talk through it when you call so you pick the right approach.
Pick the tractor when the job is mowing, grading a driveway, augering posts, or running a PTO implement over acreage — it covers ground fast and sips fuel. Pick the track loader when you need flotation on mud, heavy lifting, or skid-steer attachments like a brush cutter or grapple under load. When in doubt, tell us the job and we'll point you to the cheaper, faster machine.
Yes — across Halifax, Mecklenburg, Pittsylvania, Charlotte, and Brunswick counties, with whatever implements you reserved already loaded. Delivery is a flat fee by zip with no surprise mileage charges. Call 434-572-6992 for your rate.
